- The slaveholder and jewelry reseller named Ugolino de Torino sells an enslaved Tatar woman named Anastasia, who is approximately 25 years of age, to a certain Lorenzo di Giovanni, from Florence, for 40 Genoese lire, of which 15 lire is paid in cash and the remainder in covered by the exchange of two books, an edition of Seneca’s letters in Latin and a manuscript of the “Officium virginis Marie” in the French language. The enslaved Anastasia is described as having olive coloured skin.
