- has description
- The slaveholder and fish merchant named Antonio de Pastino sells an enslaved Russian woman named Maddalena, who is approximately 18 years of age, to a priest named Luciano de Massa for 150 Genoese lire. The contract contains a condition that the seller makes no claims regarding the health of the enslaved Maddalena. It also notes that Maddalena comes with her own clothes (cum vestibus suis tales quales sunt). The contract also states that Luciano will pay 40 Genoese lire at the time of sale and an additional 105 Genoese lire by the end of August 1429. The enslaved Maddalena agrees to serve in the household of Antonio for this subsequent year before her transfer into the household of Luciano.
