The slaveholder named Giovanni de Stanchino, from the commune of Moneglia, leases out an enslaved Hungarian woman named Melica, who is approximately 30 years of age, to a certain Pietro Ambrogio Carrega, for a term of 15 years and a total payment of 125 Genoese lire. She is to be liberated at the end of the term. The contract represents the ratification of the transfer of Melica by Filippo Cassana, serving as the procurator of Giovanni, to Pietro Ambrogio, a few months earlier on 1 December 1473. The contract also specifies that Melica cannot be subleased to the heirs of Battista de Franchi nor a certain Filippo de Caneto.
