The slaveholders and brothers named Tommaso, Lazzaro, Gaspare, and Domenico Grimaldi lease out an enslaved Ruthenian woman named Margarita, who is approximately 38 years of age, to a certain Lorenzo Cacia, for a term of 10 years and total payment of 120 Genoese lire. The enslaved Caterina was declared as part of the inheritance of the brothers and had been held by their now deceased father Domenico Grimaldi. Tommaso Grimaldi represents his brothers (who are absent) in the transaction and the enacting notary Tommaso Duracino represents the absent Margarita. The contract mandates that Margarita will be manumitted at the end of the term of service with Tommaso retaining the right of patronage. The contract was twice extracted.
