The slaveholder named Antonio Sbarroia receives insurance against the risk of death from childbirth from the underwriter Francesco Cicala for an enslaved woman named Catalina, who is approximately 29 years of age, for 115 Genoese lire. Antonio claims that Francesco had impregnated the enslaved Catalina. Francesco denies being the father but agrees, in order to avoid scandal, to pay Antonio 115 lire in case she should die as a result of the preganancy.
