- A certain Gregorio de Bozzolo testifies on behalf of Caterina de Bargalio that he had encountered an enslaved woman named Maria, who was from the Canary Islands, while he was in Seville and working as the secretary on the vessel of Niccolò Negrone and patronized by Alaone Squarciafico. He testified that the enslaved Maria was working as a household servant in Seville in the house of the lord of Canary Islands and his wife, also named Maria. Gregorio stated that this Maria had sold the enslaved Maria to Antonio de Bargalio in Seville and that Gregorio had collected the comerchia tax from Antonio at the time of sale.
