Cola Gobita was a formerly enslaved man active in Siena during the late fifteenth century. He married a formerly enslaved woman from the Canary Islands named Caterina de Salè and entered with her into a fifteeen-year service contract in Siena during the autumn of 1495. He was described as "ex partibus indianis" which, at this time, probably referred to the regions south and east of the Caspian Sea.
