The slaveholders and brothers Lodisio, Benedetto, and Antonio de Franchis purchase insurance against the risk of death from childbirth from the underwriter Leonardo de Nigro for an enslaved Russian woman named Caterina, who is approximately 29 years of age and about seven months pregnant, for 200 Genoese lire. The term of the insurance is four months. The brothers are absent during the enactment of the contract and are represented by the enacting notary Tommaso Duracino.
