The slaveholder named Francesco Stella manumits an enslaved Circassian man named Venturino, who is approximately 25 years of age. Venturino agrees to serve Francesco and his family for the next five years, both on land and at sea, without salary or payment, but with his food and clothes provided. If Venturino fails to serve for the specified period, the manumission is nullified and he will return to a condition of enslavement. Francesco also retains the right of patronage.
